The chairman said that, in company with the inspector and a solicitor, he had inspected the new stock route which had been decided on by the City Council. The route, he said, was quite unsuitable for some types of cattle, and he could see no reason why drovers should not be p_imitted to use the old route.- The inspector said that the council nad arranged a conference with drovers and other interested parties at which the difficulties would be discussed.
