NO LORD MAYOR’S SHOW
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20. There will be no Lord Mayor’s Show in London in 1944, according to a decision of the aldermen. The Lord Mayor said:, “ The show is inappropri. ate in war-time, and his Majesty has asked us to cut down ceremonial parades. Moreover, there is no absolute guarantee that the flying-bomb menace in day-time is completely over.
