VISITS TO FACTORIES
MEMBERS OF OPPOSITION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 4. Industrial conditions at three important Hutt Valley factories were studied at first hand to-day by a group of National Party members of Parliament. The efforts of the workers, the initiative of the firms and their executive officers, and the amenities provided for the comfort of their staffs impressed the parliamentarians, all but one of whom represent country electorates. Continuing their study of industry, they--will to-morrow visit a number of factories in Wellington. The group comprised Messrs W. J. Poison (Stratford), W. J. Broadfoot (Waitomo), T. L. Macdonald (Mataura), H. M. Oram (Manawatu), W. A. Sheat (Patea), E. P. Aderman (New Plymouth), W. S. Goosman (Waikato), and’C. M. Bowden (Wellington West).
