FULL YARDING OF FAT SHEEP (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, July 4. A full yarding of fat sheep was forward at the Lorneville sale to-day. The ewes were mostly good quality sorts, tor which prices Increased by about 3s a head, but medium and Jigbt-welght ewes were easier by about 2s a head, The market for better quality wethers was unchanged, but lighter sorts were easier by 2s a head. Good quality wethers made from 40s to 41s 9d; medium-weight, 36s to 38s; light-weight, 32s to 34s 6d; and unfinished, 27s 6d to 29s 6d. Prime heavy ewes brought from 32s to 33s fid; prime quality sorts, 29s to 30s 6d; mediumweight, 25s 6d to 275; light-weight, 21s to 235; and inferior, 12s 6d to 16s. The fat cattle sale opened strongly, and prices for cows showed an improvement. Values soon receded, however, and the demand, which had been keen, fell away towards the end of the sale. Good quality bullocks realised from £l4 to £ls 10s; medium quality, £l2 10s to £l3 10s; and light-weight sorts, £lO 15s to £ll. Extra good heifers sold up to £l3 10s; prime quality heifers, £lO to £l2 10s; medium, £9 15s to £lO 10s; and lightweight sorts, £8 5s to £9. Good quality cows brought up to £ll 15s; medium sorts, £9 10s to £lO 10s; unfinished, £8 to £8 15s; and inferior, £5 15s to £6 10s.
