FRENCH REFUGEES
TAKEN TO ENGLAND (Rec. 9.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. “French civilians whose homes were destroyed as the result of the invasion have already landed from Normandy, and are temporarily housed at a popular peace-time resort," says the Daily Express. "In a few days’ time, after interrogation, they will come to. London to live in a fashionable square, where 200 houses, connected by corridors, have already been prepared for the reception of 5000 refugees.”
