GIRLS’ LIFE BRIGADE

The Ist Dunedin Division of the Girls’ Life Brigade paraded at the Hanover Street Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon on the occasion of a visit of the Dominion secretary of the Brigade movement Miss Faith Green, of Auckland, who is touring New Zealand at present to make contact with all established Brigade work and to further extension work wherever opportunity arises. Miss Green left for Southland 'yesterday morning and will return to Dunedin next Monday, remaining here till June 22. ....... The parade, headed by the band of the 7th Dunedin Company of the Boys' Brigade, marched via Moray place to the service over which the Rev. B. M. Tasker, Ist Battalion chaplain, presided. Major D. Moss, ’Dominion president and Acting Commissioner of the Dunedin Divisiqn. introduced Miss Green, who gave an inspiring address to the youth present. She reminded girls and officers alike that they must fit themselves to take part in the building of a better and nobler order in the future. For true guidance and help in these difficult days Miss Green recommended all to read again the inspiring words of the Scripture passage in Fhflippians, chapter 4, which had been read earlier in the service by Staff Sergeant M. Oakley.
