Port Chalmers.—Mrs Cassie presided. Major Alliscn, matron of ” Redroofs, gave an interesting talk on her work. Mrs Brown entertained with solos, and gave the thought— ’’ The greatest treasure the world can hold, search as you will end to end; it is not power or fame or gold, but just the love of a friend.” Ravensbcurne.—Mrs Cooper presided. The speaker for the afternoon was unable to attend, and extracts were read from the League Magazine by Mrs Cooper and Mrs McKenzie. An enjoyable programme was provided by the choir Mrs Ballantyne submitted the thought— Tact is love In action.” .... . , . Mornington.—Mrs I. Nelson presided. Mrs W L. Dodd gave a recitation on winter,” the poem being her own composition. Mrs A. Rawley read a short article on ” Tea.” taken from the League Magazine. A vocal solo was given by Mrs C. Turner and a pianoforte solo by Mrs J. A. Wallace. The thought given by Mrs Hunt was—” God first, others next, and self last.”
