AMERICAN AWARD

AIR MEDAL PRESENTED TO OFFICER (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 2. The presentation of a United States Air Medal to Flying Officer Rex Alexander Weber, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, was made this morning by Commodore S. D. Jupp, the senior United States naval officer in New Zealand. Commodore Jupp said the New Zealand Air Force was building up an enviable record of achievement, and its flyers had a record of courage and skill of which the Dominion should be proud. This was the fourth award of the kind made by the United States in New Zealand.
