MILTON STOCK SALE

The Milton stock sale was held yesterday under excellent conditions. There was a good attendance of buyers. A medium yarding of approximately 3150 sheep and iambs was forward, and competition was mainly confined to local buyers. Good ewes and ewe lambs met with a good demand, but inferior classes were difficult to sell. There was a large yarding of aged lambs and a small yarding of pigs, which sold at late rates. Prices were as follows: Two-tooth ewes, up to 38s; smaller types, 32s 9d; good hill two and throe-shear ewes, up to 36s 7d, soundmouth ewes of similar type.' 26s 9d; medium s.m. ewes, 19s 3d; medium f. and f.m. ewes, 12s to 15s; inferior classes, 4s to 10s; good ewe lambs, 28s 9d to 29s 3d; medium, 23s 6d to 25s 6d; small cull lambs, 10s; good forward rape lambs, 18s 4d; medium, 14s to 16s 9d; small wether lambs, 8s 6d; two-tooth wethers, from 22s to 245.
