CIVIC RECEPTION

The Mayor (Mr J. C. Kirkness) informed the Oamaru Borough Council last night that he intended as soon as possible to tender a civic reception, to be" followed by a dance, to the servicemen who would return to Oamaru to-day on furlough. He would call on the committee which acted on the previous occasion to make the necessary arrangements.
