REVELRY AND ROMANCE Rhythm, romance, and revelry are happily combined in Universal’s new picture, “ Follow the Band," which has pride of place in the Strand Theatre’s new programme. Frances Langford, Alvino Rey and the King Sisters and Ray Eberle appear prominently in gay musical sequences. Other wellknown performers include The Bombardiers, Hilo Hattie, The King’s Men and Skinnay Ennis and the Groove Boys. The supporting picture. The Monster and the Girl,” can be described as a real thriller, with a strong cast, including Ellen Drew, Robert Paige, Paul .Lukas, Joseph Calleia. Onslow Stevens, George Zucco, Rod Cameron, Phillip Terry, Marc Lawrence, and Gerald Mohr.
