INSTITUTE OF WELDING
Mr H. M. Thomson presided at the fourth annual meeting of the Otago branch of the New Zealand Institute of Welding. After the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet a' paper entitled “ The Welding of Zinc Base Die Castings ” was re;d by Mr T. Brownlie. Following this address the election of officers for the ensuing year was held and resulted as fellows:—Chairman, Mr A. E. Berriman; vice-chairman, Mr I) Mercer; secretary-treasurer, Mr H. M. Thomson; committee—Messrs T. Brownlie, S. B. Crawford, J. R. Loraine, and B. H. Pearce; representative on the New Zealand Council, Mr T. L. Mac Lean; honorary auditor, Mr A. Cameron.
