HEAD-ON COLLISION
CAR SMASH AT WAIAREKA
FIVE OCCUPANTS INJURED (Special) OAMARU, Nov. 17. Five people are in hospital as the result of a head-on collision between two motor cars last evening at the corner of Mr Neil Gilchrist’s property on the road near Waiareka. The injured are: Mr H. R. 'Kingsland, of Invercargill, slight concussion and abrasions. j Mrs E. N. Kingsland, wife of Mr Kingsland. abrasions. Mr C.'H. Russell, of Dunedin, abrasions to both hands.
Mr W. J. Campbell, farmer, Clifton Falls, North Otago, abrasions on both hands.
Mrs Lucy Campbell, wife of Mr Campbell, injuries to the face and : knee.
One car, which was travelling towards Oamaru, was driven by Mr Russell, with Mr and Mrs Kingsland as passengers. The occupants of the other car were Mr and Mrs Campbell, and their daughter, Miss Lucy Campbell. The last-named was unhurt, Both cars were extensively damaged.
