HILLCREST SUCCESSFUL (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 24. The Auckland trotting meeting was opened yesterday in wet weather, but there was a good attendance. The track was dead. The totahsator handled £70,206 10s, against £58,040 10s on the first day last year—an increase of £12,100.
