THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BECOMING PACIFIC-MINDED SYDNEY. Oct. 22. “ Since the war Americans have become much more Pacific-minded,” said Dr Allan Nevins, of Columbia University (New York). Dr Nevins, who is professor of American history at Columbia, will give lectures on American affairs at Sydney University. He expects to be here six weeks before going to New Zealand for a similar period as a representative of the United States Office of \7ar Information.

“ Interest in the United States in Australia and New Zealand is growing,” he said. “ because Americans feel you are their kind of people.”
