SCHOOL COMMITTEES’ ASSOCIATION

The executive meeting of the School Committees' Association, held last week, was presided over by, Mr W. P. Birchall. The Minister of Health (Mr A. H. Nordmeyer) replied regarding the winter milk supply for schools, and advised that the matter would probably be dealt with in the report of the Government Milk Commission. It was decided to await publication of this report before taking further action.

As committees are feeling the cost of war damage insurances, it was agreed to ask that the Education Board should be responsible for insurances on property purchased by committees which becomes the property of the board. It was decided to inquire from the board what progress was being made with the supplying of new infant room equipment made in the manual training centres.
