ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
YOUTH BURNED Keith Stewart, a chemist, aged 18 years, who lives with his parents at 7 Monro street, Maori Hill, was admitted to the Public Hospital at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday suffering from burns. His condition is reported to be satisfactory.
BOY ELECTROCUTED
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 8. A boy was electrocuted at Otahuhu today when he came into contact with a private power line. He was Charles Basil Campbell, aged 12, son of Mr H. B. Campbell, of Otahuhu. The power line was broken and fell into a paddock at the rear of Mr Campbell’s house. The boy was found near the power line by his father an hour later.
DEATH FROM INJURIES
(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., Aug. 8. C. L. Cyprian Lee, aged 19, of Feilding, died in hospital as the result of injuries in an unusual car mishap last night. Three cars were travelling in line when the last one started to overtake the second just as the second started to overtake the first. The last car was forced off the road into a ditch, but regained the bitumen, where it roiled over. Of the five passengers Lee was the only one hurt.
