A . NUMBER OF RUSSIANS (Rec. 0.15 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. The trial of 10 men and one woman accused of aiding the Gestapo in atrocities during the German occupation of Krasnodar was opened at an unnamed town in the Caucasus, says Moscow radio. It is the first trial of its kind held in Russia. One thousand inhabitants of Krasnodar are stated to have been murdered or tortured by the Germans.

The accused persons, who are stated to have supplied the Germans with information, are being tried by a military court. Counsel appointed by the State are appearing for the defence.
