LANCASHIRE AND YORKSHIRE SOCIETY

< The Lancashire and Yorkshire Society held its monthly social on Saturday last, the president (Mr J. Kellett) occupying the chair. An enjoyable evening was spent in community singing and games, interspersed with the following items: Songs—Mrs McCrostie, Miss Ada Skinner (with violin obbligato), and Mr J. Devereaux; humorous songs—Messrs Ellis, Swift, and Longworth (trio); violin solos and obbligato, Miss Pamela Page; recitations, Mrs Oliver; Yorkshire reading, Mrs Walker. The accompanists were Mrs Macdonell and Miss Betty Macdonald.
