STORMY DEBATE

THE EGYPTIAN CHAMBER A MEMBER EXPELLED (Rec. 0.30 a.m.) CAIRO, July 13. Makram Ebeid Pasha, the former Egyptian Minister of Finance, was expelled from the Chamber of Deputies after a stormy debate following the publication of a book in which he accused the Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, and other Government officials of graft. The Chamber passed a resolution stating that Makram “ had made wild and foul accusations against members of the Government and Parliament, and had conducted himself in a manner unworthy to represent his country.”
