Social to Soldiers.—The residents of the Outram district entertained Privates W. and F. Brenssell at a social gathering in the Town Hall on July 5. Mr D. Ashley (chairman) welcomed the guests, and presented each man with a wallet and enclosure and gifts from-the W.D.F.U. Solos were sung by Mr H. Walker and June McNeilly, and a Highland dance was given by Miss Joan Renton. Music for the dance was supplied by Piper Renton and Mr W. Irving.
