RECOGNITION BY EGYPT LONDON, May 31. The Egyptian Government has decided to recognise the Soviet Union. Reuter’s Cairo correspondent says that the Egyptian Government empowered its Foreign, Minister to take steps to re-establish diplomatic and economic relations between Egypt and Russia on the basis of non-intervention by either country in the affairs of the other; and also Russia’s abstention from Government action tending to encourage propaganda against Egypt’s form of government. The Premier. Nahas Pasha, instructed the Foreign Minister to form a legation staff for Moscow.
