It was agreed that, wherever 'possible, shows should be held in spite of wartime difficulties, and it was decided to ask the Dominion Council of the Society to take up with the Oil Fuel Controller the question of obtaining an adequate allowance of petrol for the purpose of conveying stock to shows. After discussion, it was agreed that the resolutions should be forwarded to the conference of the society which is to be held next month, and in the event of their not being supported by the conference to send them direct to the various breed societies. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted on the motion of Mr J. A. Edwards (Gore), seconded by Mr J. Hellyer (Otago). The balance sheet showed a credit of £52 17s 2d. Election of Council The retiring members of the council, Messrs J. J. Blakie (Ryal Bush), John Preston (Flag Swamp), and John Burnett (Waikoikoi), were re-elected, and it was agreed to ask the North Otago Association to fill the vacancy which had been created bv the resignation of Mr Holms. Mr Edwards was unanimously re-elected chairman, and Mr Cameron honorary secretary.
