BASKETBALL
The following were the results of men’s basketball matches played on Tuesday:— A Grade: Brockville 20, University A 20; Air Force 28, University C 17; Boys 18, University B 15. B Grade: Air Training Corps 15, Brockville 5; Air Force 2, Y.M. Residents nil; St. Kilda Surfers 22, Sea Cadets 18. On Thursday night at the Y.M.C.A. two representative matches were played between Otago and a team of visiting servicemen. The results were as follows:—First match: Otago 46, Visitors 44. Second match: Otago 31, Visitors 30. The following is the draw for men s matches for Tuesday :—Residents v. Brock;ville B; Sea Cadets v. Air Force B; Air Force A v. University B; Boys v. University A; Brockville A v. University C; Air Training Corps v. St. Kilda Surfers. The draw for matches conducted by the Women’s Indoor Basketball League for Monday evening is as follows:—Band Girls v Nurses III; Dodgers II v. Physical Welfare Branch I; Victory v. College III; Army v. Imperial; Invincible v. Nurses II; Physical Welfare Branch II v. College II; College I v. Rovers; Nurses I v. Excelsior; Cycle Corps v. Public Service; Dodgers I v. Athletic.
