SITTING AT MILTON The No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board— Messrs J. R. Bartholomew, S.M. (chairman), J. Price, and H. Hodgson—held a sitting at Balclutha on Thursday. Mr A. N. The Primary Production Committee applied for extension of leave for J. A. Taylor, farm labourer.—Extension to June 30 was recommended. The Director -of National Service appealed for D. G. Green, farm labourer, Lovell’s Flat, the case being supported by the Primary Production Committee.—Adjourned sine die, to serve in the Home Guard. „ , _ The Bruce Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd., appealed for R. W. H. Wilson, weaver, and W. J. Mulrine. spinner. Wilson said he was anxious to join the Air Force if the mill could spare him.—The appeals were adjourned sine die, with service in the Home Guard. The Otago Electric Power Board appealed for N. Moir, electrician, and J. E. Paterson, linesman, on the grounds of public interest and undue hardship.—The appeal for Moir was adjourned sine die, conditional on his serving in the electricity section of the E.P.S. The appeal for Paterson was dismissed, the reservist no. to be called up until August 31.
