The weather was dull and overcast at Wingatui yesterday morning, but fairly mild. Fairy Bard and Patria cast half a mile behind in 53 4-ssec. Phalanx travelled six furlongs in lmin 25 l-ssec. Anglo-Irish and Colonel Rouge put up lmin 10 3-ssec for five furlongs. La Boca and Edward galloped over six furlongs in lmin 25 3-ssec. 1 Rawhamai and Paladeo were com- . panions in useful work. Anglo-French and El Caballo at the sod wall on the Steeplechase course and gave a fine display over a circuit of . the country, but missed the brush at the i seven-furlong post.
