RUBBER SALVAGE

AUSTRALIAN CAMPAIGN (Rec. 11.45 p.m.) CANBERRA, May 28. Australia’s rubber salvage campaign has resulted in the collection of more than 550,000 tyres and 1600 tons of miscellaneous scrap. These figures were announced by the Minister of Supply, Mr J. A. Beasley, who said the achievement was an excellent one. Only 100 tons of scrap rubber now await collection throughout Australia.
