Mr J. H. Duncan/returned from Wellington last night. Major K. A. Keiha, M.C., whose appointment as second-in-command of the Maori Battalion in the Middle East was announced yesterday,-is an old boy of Otago Boys’ High School. He came from Gisborne, and attended the Otago Boys’ High School in the years during the last war. He was a member of the school Rugby fifteen. ’* ■ Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr A. S. MacPherson, Mr R. G. Bradley, and Captain Gaskell for Christchurch, Mr G. A. Robertson, Miss J. Sherwood and Miss M. Pratt for Wellington. Passengers who arrived by. the afternoon plane were Mr W. Stevens, Mr W. Fisher and Mr W. J. Broughton from Wellington, Mr and Mrs A. McKay, Miss V. A. Stewart, Mr 0.. W. Payne,. Mrs Greenslade, Mr J. Moir, and Aircraftman M. Johnson frorp Christchurch.
