Y.M.C.A. DIRECTORS

MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD The- monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. was held on Monday last, there being present Messrs J. L; Salmond, G. A. Laurenson, D. R. Wilson, D. K Macdonald, W. R. Sinclair, J. Lock, H. L. Gregory, and R. J. L. Griffiths. The general secretary s report showed that the building was being extensively used day and night, and servicemen in increasing numbers were availing themselves of the residential facilities in the special dormitories provided. It has become necessary to erect beds in the gymnasium over the week-end. In the Boys' Department now that the restrictions had been lifted the boys were returning in ever-increasing, numbers. The religious services were being well attended. The enrolment in gymnasium activities was satisfactory under the present conditions. The Y.M.C-A. Optimists’ Club was meeting regularly for lunch, and interesting addresses were delivered. The following committees were elected: —Finance —Messrs C. J. Darracott (convener). J. L. Salmond, J. B. Waters, W. R. Sinclair, G. A. Laurenson, G. T. Austin, J. McAra, and D.,R. Wilson; Boys’ Work —Messrs M. C. Henderson (convener), D. K. Macdonald. H. L. 'Gregory, R. J. L. Griffiths, P. Findlay, and G. T. Austin; House—Messrs G. A. Laurenson (convener). J. Lock, and D. R. Wilson; Religious, Work—Messrs J. B. Waters (chairman) and D. K. Macdonald, and Canon W. A. Hamblett; Physical Work— Messrs W. R. Sinclair (convener), M. C. Henderson, and R. J. L. Griffiths.
