A complimentary social was tendered to Mr Keith Doig by the Old Boys’ Football Club on Saturday night on his resignation as club captain. A presentation was made to him bv Mr B. B. Blackmore, who spoke of his services to the club over’a long period of years. A complimentary social in honour of Driver W. R. Morrison was held last week by the Ngapara Patriotic Committee, at' which presentations were made to him by Mr C. Nimmo (Patriotic Committee), Mrs Butts (Red Cross), Mr J. McKenzie (farming community), and Mr D. Daly (ex-servicemen). Tributes were paid at a recent meeting of the Waitaki Collie Dog Club to Mr B. H. Wilkinson for his services as secretary for a number of years. Mr Wilkinson, who is leaving the district, recently resigned, and Mr w. A. Ross will fill the vacancy.
