SUNSHINE AND RAINFALL
The sunshine figures as supplied by Mr D S. Bain show that there were 176 hours of sunshine in April, as compared with 154 hours in the same month last year. The average for April is 125 hours, with a daily average of shr 52min. There were 10 days with 8 hours or over, including 7 with 9 hours or over, and 4 with 10 hours or over. The best day was April 1, with 10 hours 30 minutes of sunshine The rainfall figures as supplied by Mr W Forrester show that 1.47 inches of rain fell during the month, compared wit.i 50 points for April, 1942. For the four months this year 7.30 inches of rain have fallen, compared with 5.52 inches for the corresponding period last year. Rain fell on the following days last month.-April 4, 39 points; 9, 41; 17, 2, 21, y, zj, -i*. 24, 34; 25, 6; 30, 2.
