EIGHTY-ONE DROWNED
MEMBERS OF SERVICES TRAGEDY ON WELSH COAST (Rec. 0.30 a.m.) LONDON, Apl. 30. Eighty-one members of the services were drowned when two barges were overwhelmed in rough seas off the Welsh coast on April 24. There were only three survivors. A naval boat which put out to rescue one of the barges also overturned, drowning five sailors. Most of the bodies were recovered, 30 being buried in one grave.
