SOUTHLAND MEETING
AMORLAD FAVOURED The Southland Racing Club’s winter meeting, clashing with the final day at Riccarton, has lost some of the' horses that raced at Riverton. Nevertheless, a good card has been obtained, and the meeting should prove an all-round success. The following may be among those fancied for their engagements:— Southland Hurdles.—Nightcalm, Colonel Rouge, Heidelberg. Trial Handicap.—Gundagai, Alpine, Fair Trial. Bluff Handicap.—Cruden Bay, Sister Sal. Fairy Bard. Awarua Handicap.—Amorlad, Royal Chorus, Platform. i Southland Steeplechase.—Noko, Gay Boa. Gold Robe. * Otatara Trot.— Haste, Dunstan Direct, Scotch Music. Myross Handicap.—Boolamskee. Air Chief, Riding Home. President's Handicap.—Winning Flight. King Gustavo, Blissful Lady.
