Canadian Foreign Service
The Prime Minister of Canada, Mr Mackenzie King, has announced that a Canadian Consulate-general will oe opened in New York on May 1. Mr Hugh Scully, at present Commissioner of Customs, will be the first Consulgeneral. Miss Agnes McCloskey, at present accountant in the External Affairs Department, will be Consul and the first woman to hold a ranging post in Canada’s foreign service.
