SICK AND WOUNDED
SIX OTAGO MEN RETURN Six Otago men who have been invalided home after service overseas arrived from the north by the express yesterday afternoon. Two left the train at Oamaru, and the others travelled to Dunedin, where they were met at the station by the Mayor (Mr A. H. Allen), representatives of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Association, the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, and the army, and were afterwards driven to their homes by members of the transport detachment of the Red Cross. The men, all of whom were walking cases, were:— Second-lieutenant S. W. Raffllls, 267 Malvern street, Woodhaugh. Sergeant J. A. B. Harrex, Poolburn R.D., Oturehua. Signalman F. C. R. Mcllroy, 48 Hope street. Private V. R. Swainson, 65 Loyalty street, South Dunedin. The men who left the express at Oamaru were:— Gunner K. Harney, 2 Rother street, Oamaru. Private J. F. Paton, Maheno.
