CLAIM NOT REQUIRED

SOLDIERS’ DEFERRED PAY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Apl. 22. It is not necessary for discharged servicemen to apply to Base Records for deferred pay. Advising the Returned Services’ Association to this effect, army headquarters stated that as soon as Base Records receives advice that a soldier is to be discharged, the first action is to make out a warrant for all the pay due to him, including deferred pay, and this is sent to the soldier before his discharge certificate is issued.
