WOMEN’S DAY OF PRAYER

The Women’s World Day of Prayer was observed in Oamaru on Friday in the Wesley Church. Mrs Butler led the devotions, and the theme was “ The Way Back to God," and on this the Scripture readings and prayers were based. The following members took part for their respective churches:—Mcsdames Butler, Mayson, Hay, Williamson, Wilson, Miss Cowan, and Captain Pauling. Mrs Knight was at the organ, and a solo was rendered bv Mrs McCallum. A collection for the orphaned missions was taken, and resulted in the sum of £3 15s being raised. It was decided to hold next year’s meeting in the Salvation Army Hall.
