IN AND ABOUT TOWN Tides.— To-day, at the Port of Oamaru, high tides will be at 11.34 a.m. and 12.00 P County Rates.—The amount of county rates paid up to closing time on Friday to avoid the 10 per cent, penalty was £25,139 Gs 9d, leaving £448 Gs 9d outstanding. The result this year has been the best for many years, there being only about 13 per cent, of the rates outstanding.
