BUTTER FOR SEAMEN
Success has attended the scheme Inaugurated by the National Dairy Association for supplying gift parcels of 21b of butter to each member of crews of merchant ships taking New Zealand produce to Britain, states the annual report of the New Zealand Dairy Board. Dairy companies had given generously, and the gifts were greatly appreciated by the seamen. It had now been decided that the scheme be financed by the board, which would mean that each dairy company will share equitably on a production basis.
