OMAKAU

Bowling.—The first of the Omakau Bowling Club’s championship events were played on Saturday. The results were as follows:—Champion Singles: Mclntosh 17, Glassford 16; Maclean 23, Blakely 13. Champion Pairs: Maclean and Oaten 23, Mclntosh and Moran 19. Handicap Singles: Read 27, Moran 20; Jeffs 23, Wilson 22. The following fours will represent the club in a challenge match to-day for tire Jolly Memorial Cup, which is at present held by Cromwell: —Maclean, Jeffs, Milne, Foulkes. Horticultural Society.—At a meeting of the committee of the Anglican Horticultural Society it was decided to hold the annual flower show this year at Ophir on February 7.
