Dramatic Society.—The Ranfurly Dramatic Society held a successful entertainment in the Ranfurly Hall recently, Four one-act plays were presented, and Mrs F. A. Barltrop sang two delightful solos. The plays were entitled “The Bride.” “Happy Ending,” “Shanghai,” and “T’Pup,” and they were well received by a large and appreciative audience. The gross proceeds amounted to the gratifying sum of £2B, and after the expenses have been paid and a small amount kept to augment the society’s funds, the sum of £ls will be available for the Patriotic Society’s next appeal.
