Major Raymond Massey, in an interview in the Canadian press, urged the lessening of travel restrictions in the United States because Americans know so little of the Canadian war effort. “Americans know all about Australia because Australia’s voice is strong in the United States.” he added. “ but few people across the border know of Canada’s magnificent war contribution.
