ENEMY ACTION SUSPECTED (Special) NOUMEA, Nov. 12. Nothing has been heard sines July 24 of the Nickel Company's ship Cagou, a collier of about 3000 tons, and it is feared she was sunk shortly after that date by enemy action. In her crew of 38 there were nine Caledonian whites, the rest being natives and Tonkinese. The vessel had frequently visited Sydney and Newcastle. She was a sister ship of the Notou, sunk by an enemy (German) raider; in August 1940, when some 200 miles from Noumea.
