TOLL OF ENEMY PLANES
GUNNERS ON MERCHANT SHIPS (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Nov. 7. Gunners in defensively-equipped merchant ships have damaged 228 enemy aircraft since the beginning of' the war—Bß destroyed, 42 probably destroyed, and 98 damaged.. The defensive equipment of these ships has been greatly improved.
