ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
Mr E. L. Hope presided at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association last night. It was reported that a Boys' Brigade team from Invercargill would travel to Dunedin on Saturday to meet a team from the Otago Boys' High School. The match would be played at Littlebourne. A protest was received from the Air Force team in connection with a recent match against Northern. It was decided that the protest be upheld and the match awarded to Air Force.
The intermediate competition was declared closed, and .congratulations were extended. to Air Force, the winners in this grade: * It was decided that the play-off between Maori Hill and 0.8.H.5. for'Fourth Grade honours should take place on September 19 at the Oval, and that a match for Army A should be arranged for the same day. It was also decided to send a letter to Army A congratulating it on its win against the Oamaru Army team at Oamaru last Saturday. A letter was received from the Council of the Dunedin Scottish Societies thanking the association for granting the use of its equipment to teams from overseas ships. The following Is the draw for Saturday : First Grade.—Army A v. Caversham, at Tonga Park, at 3 o.m. (Mr J. Welsh). Fourth Grade.—Boys' Brigade (Invercargill) v. 0.8.H.5., at Littlebourne. at 2 o.m. (Mr D. Hanlin). Fifth Grade.—Mornington v. Northern, at Gardens, at 1.30 p.m. (Mr J. Webster); Mosgiel a bye.
