OBITUARY
MISS ETHEL JACKSON
The death occurred on Friday of Miss Ethel Jackson, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Howard Jackson, formerly of Lawrence. Miss Jackson spent most of her life in Dunedin, where she was for over 37 years a member of the staff of Messrs W. E. Reynolds and Co. She will be remembered chiefly for her work with the Victoria League, of which she was secretary for over 20 years. ' Retiring from that office in 1935, she was elected to the committee, and later became a vice-president. No other member of the league knew, more of its activities or had its welfare more at heart than Miss Jackson, and she will be greatly missed by the many hundreds of supporters of the league. She was also actively associated with the Citizens' Day Nursery, of which she was secretary for many years. Miss Jackson is survived by two sisters, Mrs A. Chrystal, of Temuka. and Miss Dorothy Jackson, of Dunedin.
