O.M.R.’S MERITORIOUS WIN In the senior Association football matches played on Saturday, O.M.R. provided the surprise result of the day by defeating the clever Caversham side. The Army team, although two goals down 'for the greater part of the play, staged an unexpected recovery in the last 10 minutes when their forward line swept through the defence to score on three occasions. Throughout, Caversham forwards lost scoring chances by poor finishing, whilst a very fine display by the Army goalkeeper also had an effect on the final result. At the Gardens. Army A defeated Northern by the odd goal in seven. These were the only two senior matches played on Saturday, Mosgiel defaulting to RoslynWakari. Results:—
Senior.—O.M.R, 3, Caversham 2; Army A 4, Northern 3. Intermediate.—Northern 6. Air Force 4.
