HASTY MARRIAGES
AMERICANS OVERSEAS OFFICER'S APPROVAL REQUIRED (Rec. 11 pm.) LONDON, June 22. Hasty marriages in Australia and Northern Ireland are believed to have been responsible for the United States War Department's ban on army marriages abroad without the approval of the commanding officer of the area concerned. It is stated that United States officers have been harassed for months by complications resulting from marriages abroad, involving social, military, and economic problems.
