. MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board was held yesterday at Milton. Mr W. C. Arkle presided, and (here were also present Messrs w. bee, T A Lowis, R. H Michelle, J. B McGill. W. Cameron, J. Moore, J. K. Copland, and A in A the r flnancial statement presented by Mr Lowis the receipts were shown to be £4773 5s lid, including £4586 4s 3d from the sales of electricity. The expenditure for the month amounted to £3IOO 8s 6c On behalf of the Lines of Communication Motor Transport Company at Baiclutha Lieutenant G. S. Taylor wrote? requesting relief from lighting charges in the Balclutha Band Hall, where two evening parades, each of three hours duration, were held each week. The use of the hall, it was stated, was granted free bv the owner. The company was wholly a' military organisation, the members of which were liable for mobilisation and incorporation with the military forces. - After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that no concession could be granted.
