. MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board was held yesterday at Milton. Mr W. C. Arkle presided, and (here were also present Messrs w. bee, T A Lowis, R. H Michelle, J. Taylor wrote? requesting relief from lighting charges in the Balclutha Band Hall, where two evening parades, each of three hours duration, were held each week. The use of the hall, it was stated, was granted free bv the owner. The company was wholly a' military organisation, the members of which were liable for mobilisation and incorporation with the military forces. - After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that no concession could be granted.
