TERRITORIAL ASSOCIATION
NEW MEMBERS REQUIRED The need for new executive members of the Territorial Association was stressed at a recent meeting. It was stated that most members of the executive were engaged in other war activities, and could not give the required time to the association’s affairs. On the motion of Mr H. L Longbottom, a sub-committee comprising Dr R. A. H. Fulton (chairman), Mrs S. H. Park. Colonel G. Barclay. Mr C. V. Smith, and Major L. A. Rhodes (area staff officer) was s appointed to investigate- the matter, and was given power to act. Mr Smith reported that £l5O had been collected and handed over to the 2nd Battalion. Otago Regiment (formerly the 4th Battalion National Military Reserve) on mobilisation. , . ~, .. Mrs Park reported that, with the assistance of Mrs N. D. Anderson. Mayoress of St. Kilda, and other helpers. Christmas parcels had been packed in cartons given by Messrs Coulls, Somerville, Wilkie. Ltd. The parcels were greatly appreciated by all ranks, and letters to that effect had been numerous. The secretary reported that, after payment of all accounts, including Christmas parcels, a credit balance of £llß 7s lid remained. It was decided to approach the Patriotic Council in an endeavour to obtain a piano for the use of the sth Light Armoured Fighting Vehicle Regiment.
